Terms of Use

These terms explain how UseShorts software access, licences, subscriptions, updates, cancellations, and refunds work.

Software access and licence

UseShorts gives you a licence to use the software under the purchase option you select. Your licence is for your own lawful use of the software and does not transfer ownership of UseShorts to you. The features available to you follow your licence or active subscription entitlement.

One-time purchases

A one-time licence lets you keep using the version of UseShorts to which you are entitled. It includes software updates for the first 12 months after purchase. Once that included update period ends, you may continue using your entitled version; access to newer releases may require an optional paid update extension.

Monthly subscriptions

The monthly option is a subscription. Your software entitlement follows the subscription’s status and paid period. Unless cancelled, it renews for the next billing period at the applicable subscription price.

Cancellation

You can cancel your monthly subscription at any time to stop future renewals.

Access continues through the period you have already paid for.

Cancellation does not itself refund the current billing period.

Payments already made are generally non-refundable, except for billing errors, rights required by applicable law, or refunds issued by Lemon Squeezy.

Software updates

One-time purchases include 12 months of software updates, not lifetime updates. You can continue using your entitled version after that period. Newer releases after the included period may require an optional paid update extension. Subscription access and updates are tied to an active paid subscription.

Computer activation and licence use

One licence key activates the number of active computers in the pack you purchased. Current one-time packs cover 1, 2, 5, or 10 active computers. The key does not provide a separate independent licence for each computer. Please keep your key secure and use it within your purchased activation limit.

Refunds

One-time purchases

One-time purchases are generally final. We do not normally offer refunds for change of mind after purchase or licence activation.

We will review duplicate charges, billing errors, and cases where UseShorts cannot reasonably run on a supported system after reasonable troubleshooting.

Monthly payments

Payments already made are generally non-refundable, except for billing errors, rights required by applicable law, or refunds issued by Lemon Squeezy. Cancelling a subscription stops future renewals but does not itself refund the current paid period.

Third-party services and payments

GROUPAI APP sells current UseShorts licences and subscriptions directly, with payments processed through Stripe. Stripe is the payment processor, not the merchant of record responsible for GROUPAI APP's tax obligations. UseShorts does not directly store your payment-card details.

Historical purchases processed by Lemon Squeezy remain subject to its applicable checkout, billing, and refund processes. This does not transfer or replace an existing purchase or subscription.

Premium captions use a third-party caption service. If you choose optional cloud AI for clip discovery, transcript text needed for analysis is sent to the configured provider. Those services have their own terms and data practices; see our Privacy Policy for the relevant data flows.
